General Guidelines

Try to adhere to the following guidelines as best as possible to ensure Think Digital Group and its portfolio of sub-brands are consistently represented across all media. If you’re not sure what to use, please contact a member of the design team.

1.0 Logos

Our logos are our most valuable brand assets. They should remain consistent across our communication channels and never be modified. Use all of our logos with care and if you are unsure how, look at our brand pages for examples and some guidance for reference. If you need to download copies of our logos, visit the Download Portal.

Within each brand’s section, guidelines have been given on centrally selected logo colour deviations, individual logo exclusion zones and any logo format variations.

Note

Please ensure you use logos downloaded from the download portal and do NOT simply right click/save as any image from this site!

2.0 Colour

Within each brand’s section in this documentation are colour palette guidelines. Each individual brand has its own set and selection of core colours that should be used across their visual communication channels to keep branding consistent.

Each colour has CMYK, RGB and HEX references to ensure all colours are represented accurately across all media. There is also a Colour Code Cheatsheet of primary colours included in this documentation for quick references.

3.0 Typeface

Typography is a crucial element of our visual identity. Using our chosen typefaces, the correct colours and weights ensure that our typography is consistent and legible across all of our communication channels. Visit the individual brand pages to find brand specific fonts and links to download.

3.1 Installing Fonts

We primarily use Google Fonts in our projects as they’re open source, intuitive and robust. You can find a font to use via the Google Fonts website.

To install and manage Google Font installs, you could use SkyFonts. It’ll help you keep track of the fonts you have installed. At the moment SkyFonts only works for Google Fonts and a few other paid services. Also when you find a font in Google Fonts and go to download it, one of the options is to install it using SkyFonts.

SkyFonts is a cross-platform tool and can be used on macOS and Windows.

4.0 Tone of Voice

At Think Digital Group we often write for an expert audience. This does not mean that people who use our communications want to read complex, technical writing. In fact, we know our audience prefers clear easy-to-read English. We use straightforward technical terms where needed, to make sure our writing is precise and accurate.

Our tone is that of a trusted, well-informed professional. We strive to sound human and inclusive, and we avoid management speak.

5.0 Downloads and File Types

Within our logo packs in the Download Portal you will find different file types. Read below to find out what each file is used for, and what file type will work best for you and your project.

  • EPS: This is a vector file which means it can be scaled up indefinitely. It is a universal file formation which can be used by most vector drawing programs. This file type is best used for a high-quality, professional print. Available in CMYK only. Not to be used online.
  • JPG: This is a raster file with no transparency to it. These files can be used on small-scale, in-house printable documents, as part of a presentation, or on the web. They can not be used beyond their original size as raster files lose quality when stretched.
  • PNG: This is a raster file which holds transparency. Best used solely for digital media. It’s not recommended that you use this file type for print as you might see discrepancies due to file conversion at print.
  • SVG: This is a vector and is web-safe. Most modern browsers support this file. It’s great to use for logos on digital media as it does not lose resolution. This file type is not suitable for imagery. Available in RGB only. Not to be used for print.

In addition to the different types of logo files, the design team hold master Adobe Illustrator files which all of the above have been exported from. If you require a different file type, or a file type at a specific size, please contact one of the designers.
